Software

Follow one request through the system

Software is an additional service built around a defined business process. This illustrative journey follows a request from a person's screen through processing, records, connections, and a result. The actual tools, hosting, access, and information boundary would be agreed for the engagement.

The display

Start with what the person needs to do

The screen should explain the task, the instruction that applies, and the information needed to proceed. A person should be able to see what remains open and who owns the next decision.

A clear interface follows the controlled process and identifies when the task must stop for review.

The processor

Apply defined rules

The application can check that required information is present, route a task to an assigned owner, or calculate a result using an agreed rule.

We distinguish a check software can perform from an acceptance decision that requires a qualified, authorized person. The rule and its limits belong in the design.

System memory

Preserve the source and its status

The system needs to distinguish working information from an approved instruction or completed record. A changed document should not silently change the evidence behind an earlier decision.

The design identifies which source applies, where the authoritative version remains, and how people can find it.

AI acceleration

Keep AI assistance within its job

An AI tool may help search an allowed library, classify a document, or prepare a draft for review. Its sources, data boundary, expected answer, and failure cases need to be defined.

Generated output does not become an approved instruction or acceptance record merely because the system produced it. Required human review remains part of the path.

The home stack

Fit the software to the business

The right result may use existing applications, a small custom tool, or an integration. We agree on the information, roles, ownership, deployment, and support needed for that particular job.

The controlled library remains the foundation. A software engagement adds behavior around it and requires its own verification.

Into the fiber

Connect systems without losing the record

When information passes between applications, the connection should preserve the identity of the work and make failures visible. Missing or conflicting information needs a defined response.

We specify which system owns each result and how the next person can trace it to its source.

Encryption

Define the information boundary

Access, sharing, and protection requirements depend on the information the tool will handle. These decisions must be made before real customer or controlled information is introduced.

Hosting location, encryption, and a login are parts of a design that must be evaluated together. They do not by themselves establish permission to handle a particular information type.

The cloud

Add external services only for an agreed need

An external application or cloud service may help deliver a defined function. The scope needs to identify what information leaves the organization, who receives it, and what terms and controls apply.

No particular cloud or AI deployment is implied by this illustration. The proposed service is selected and tested against the customer's agreed requirements.

The whole path

Verify the whole path

We test whether the right person receives the task, required checks happen, exceptions return to an owner, and the result remains connected to its record.

That connects the software to the work it supports, from a request to an authorized decision and retained evidence.
